I love going on outings with myself.
New favorite: The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
Old favorites: downtown and people watching. I love being a stranger in the midst of a crowd, being amidst a smorgasbord of people all crossing paths. I enjoy watching all the different people walk by and formulating my own stories about each person, who they are, where they’ve been, where they’re going, what they’ve experienced, and the kind of day that they are having based on the looks on their faces. All the various scents mingle together as each person passes, the familiar cigarette smoke, the perfume of a working woman, the unique scent of the homeless person taking a nap. I watch every person’s action and reaction, reading their faces and body language as clues to that particular person’s personality, character, and being. I love people watching, sometimes I feel like an anthropologist, studying the human race, or in some cases, I feel like a zoologist watching animals. This is the case when I watch people at night clubs. More on that later.
